 UPDATES

Update - Tues 4/8 - 5:30 pm - Rambo's back in the New Hope Rehab unit!!  Same room as before - #461.  His pelvis is healing well, so he can put 50% of his body weight on his right leg.  That feels really good!!  As Lady Di puts it, he's more like Rambo now that any time since the accident!  YAY!!!  The rehab folks gave him a real workout today.  One of his rehab aides, Mary, said "Now we can really get in gear to send him home!"  So, it's been a very long difficult 5 or 6 weeks, but there has been nothing but good news this week!!!  Lady Di needs to work at Dinty's on Sunday, so she won't be able to stay with Rambo that day.  Take a few minutes to stop by and see him on Sunday.  He'd love the company!

Update - Tues - 6:00 am - The docs have decided maybe they rushed the move to the rehad unit too fast the last couple of times, and now they're going to keep Rambo on the 5th floor until he is really ready to move. We love that!  We all know Rambo is a figher and wants to push to get back on his feet, but waiting until his body is ready to go through that stress is a great idea!  He's still feeling much better, is completely lucid, and is doing better than he has for a long time.  HOORAY!!!

Update - Sun 3/30 - Noon - It's been an interesting couple of days.  On Thursday, Rambo's delirium was so bad that he had to be restrained.  The docs took him for a CAT scan and found a big pocked of pus in his right hip.  They drained it and treated it with some heavy duty antibiotics.  Friday morning, Lady Di got a call from Rambo’s nurse who said, “Our boy is clear and lucid this morning, and he’s wondering when you’re going to get here to see him!”  Lady Di was there 15 minutes later.  She said that this is the very best he’s been since the accident!  He’s back to himself, he’s eating like a horse, and feels much, much better.  YAY!!!  Now he can truly work on getting back on his feet!
